Cap caught the Red Sox in Oakland while we lived in Sacramento, he and I have seen the Sox in NY at Yankee Stadium, and last night all four of us saw the Celtics for about $50. (Nets tickets are practically being given away...they are playing that badly right now.)
For those of you not familiar with Boston area sports and their fans...the fans are incredibly passionate, all the teams are very popular and it is extremely hard to get tickets to games.
Our boys follow the Red Sox (baseball), Patriots (football) and Celtics (basketball) on tv with their dad. They are not avid fans of sports (baseball is their favorite), but their appreciation for the various games and their complex set of rules has grown in the last couple of years. Their allegiance to Boston/New England has never wavered.
We had a great time last night. Sag's highlight: the Celtics won. Gem's highlight: seeing a lot of dunks. My highlight: seeing Paul Pierce in real life and becoming an instant fan. Cap's highlight: the kids' pleasure rising the shuttle from the parking lot to the arena.
