...on a multiplication table (up to 12x12)! He attacked the sheet immediately before he realized all that was involved and filled in some of it correctly before stalling out.
Sag moved from the pattern blocks to the base 10 blocks. V was intrigued by the goings on and here is helping Sag dismantle some pieces.
He's a mental math guy with a good memory who realized today that doing 7x7 without having memorized it is kind of cumbersome.
I brought out the bean bags. We started the work session by tossing them to each other and counting...by 1s, 2s, 3s, 4s, and 5s. We took a bean bag break later and tossed three of them simultaneously trying to toss and then catch them all at once. It was fun and invigorating and we succeeded on the last try of the morning.

I pulled an old trick out of my bag. The baseball cap. The pressure around/on the head can help the body gain a better understanding of where it is in space, literally bringing a kid back to earth. The brain/central nervous system can then click into focus/concentration mode.
