a good recipe can feel like a good friend.
The days leading up to Vanessa's departure were busy. Even the days at home felt busy. For me, no doubt because of the emotional intensity beginning to build up inside knowing it would soon be time to say goodbye.
The colors and tones of our routines and rhythm heated up as Vanessa focused on tackling more of her homework, we began the process of packing her stuff, "lasts" came into sharper focus and we added some things to our agenda and let some things go.
